As a worried parent myself, the idea came to me from all the tragic events that stroke different parts of the world these past few years. From children abductions to random school shootings to terrorist attacks, it became clear to me that everyone is at risk; terror and violence has no pity for even the most vulnerable.

On January 6th 2017, as I my plane was landing at the Fort Lauderdale Airport near Miami Florida, 5 people were brutally shot to death while 6 others were injured. One of the victims was wearing a backpack containing a laptop, which actually stopped the bullet from entering his body and killing him.

When I heard this story, it simply clicked in my head. Coming up with a new line of innovative bulletproof backpacks to me was one huge step further to protecting my children from the cruel world that surrounds us. And why not even make it available to other parents, friends, brothers, sisters, lovers? Everyone deserves to feel safe.
